St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church Smithmill, PA

This is my family's parish. My family were among the founders are among the benefactors of the parish. Any rumblings about architecture or design can be expressed in the form of a donation to the parish. This is my ancestral parish. No matter what location I may end up in life I'll always consider St. Vladimir my home, always have always will.

Looks like a small and intimate church.
I know that I would feel very much at home there!

No matter where we find ourselves in life, our family parish church always will hold a special place in our hearts.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Matt,

Which road would one take to get to Smithmill:

a.) Rt. 53 North from Portage?

b.) Rt. 220/I99 from Altoona?

Both are options.
The simplest way would be Route 22 east to North I-99.

Route 53 from Portage would take a while but it's worth the drive.

If you want directions private message me.

What a beautiful church! My clinical instructor lives in Houtzdale, Pa. He gave me directions to your church, but I haven't been there yet. Could you tell me, Does your church have christmas on Dec. 25 or Jan. 7. I always celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7. I know Hawk Run church the Carpatho-Rusyn is Jan. 7.
